Pricing and billing
Are there any hidden fees?+
No. $500 one-time setup fee and $30/month for hosting. Your domain is included for the first year (renewal is about $12/year). For e-commerce, hosting goes to $49/month instead of $30.
Can I cancel?+
Yes, any time with 30 days notice. You can transfer your domain out and we hand over an export of all your content.
How do I pay?+
Credit or debit card via Stripe. Stripe hosts the card details — we never see them.
The website
Can I use my own domain?+
Yes. You own the domain and we help you point it at our servers. If you don't already have a domain we'll help you register one (Cloudflare Registrar, at cost).
Can I edit the content myself?+
Yes, the CMS panel is drag-and-drop. You can edit copy, add images, change product prices and add new pages. No coding.
What about security?+
Everything is HTTPS with SSL from Let's Encrypt. DDoS protection and WAF from Cloudflare. Daily backups kept for 30 days.
What if I want a significantly different design?+
You can change colours, fonts and tweak blocks yourself. If you want a complete redesign we do that for $200 — one time.
Outreach and email
Why did I get an email from you?+
We find businesses on Google Places with 5+ reviews but no website, and send them a preview to show what a site could look like. We send at most 3 emails and then stop completely.
Can I be removed from the list?+
Yes — every email has an unsubscribe link. We keep no data after you unsubscribe.
Do you really have a mockup for us?+
Yes. We pull your logo, extract colours from it, Claude AI writes copy based on your category and reviews, and Puppeteer takes a screenshot. You see a real website, not a stock template.
Technical
Where is the database stored?+
Everything is hosted on Hetzner in Germany (or Finland if you prefer). PostgreSQL for data, Cloudflare R2 for media. GDPR-compliant from day one.
Can I migrate my site elsewhere?+
Yes. We export all content as Markdown + images in a ZIP file any time you ask. No lock-in.
Is there an API?+
Yes — all data is accessible through the Payload CMS REST and GraphQL APIs. Email hello@folio.is if you want to know more.
